We here at Musical Ambassadors of Peace would like to thank you for your continued support in this past year. Together we have been able to do some truly beautiful things in the world, and we couldn't have done them without you!
Here are some highlights!
In June we sent our Musical Ambassador Dilkwaz Ahmed to Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) to provide healing group-drumming events for the Yazidi women who have been recently freed from the hands of the Islamic State.
We provided drums to the nonprofit center, Jinda, in Duhok, Iraq, for continuing healing drum circles with the freed women.
Musical Ambassadors of Peace collaborated with the organizations License to Freedom and Upbeat Drums to produce regular weekly Dance & Drum Circles for Iraqi and Syrian refugees in El Cajon, California. They were invited to perform on June 21, 2018 for World Refugee Day at World Music Center in San Diego.
We also collaborated with San Diego State University to co-produce Sing, Drum & Dance events for Refugee Women and Children, culminating in a final performance on October 19th.
Ari Honarvar and Dilkhwaz Ahmed, two of our Musical Ambassadors and both refugees themselves, have been carrying our healing musical energies to the
Caritas Center in Tijuana, Mexico.
Caritas Center is offering sanctuary to some of the men, women and children
who are currently fleeing the “northern triangle,” which has become
one of the most dangerous places in the world.
These refugees are from Honduras and Guatemala and El Salvador.
These are just the highlights! We've also produced numerous cross cultural concerts, dance events, and more!
So, thank you for helping us reach across cultural boundaries and borders to bring hope, renewal and healing to people in need.

Mission Statement:
We train and fund musical ambassadors who travel the world to build cross-cultural bridges, honor and preserve indigenous musical traditions and help heal those traumatized by war.
We believe:
1) People who have learned and sung each others’ popular love songs together are less likely to war with one another than those who have not.

We have learned to perform musical styles of Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Peru, Greece, Turkey, Tadjikstan, Mexico.
