Happy Throwback Thursday!

I’ve been plumping up our social media to help broaden our support base and have been posting some fun historical photos and videos. This week I made a reel of our very first session in Gaza!

October 21st, 2021 - Rahaf and Mahmoud’s first session in Khan Younis City, Gaza

Creating events for girls in Gaza was not easy. These kinds of activities are not common in Gaza due to numerous restrictions. But our coordinator, Mahmoud, was finally able to explain, convince and cooperate with a local organization to use their space to hold the events. According to Mahmoud, Khan Younis City has more community stress and restrictions than other areas. The music events were much needed there.

As you well know, Musical Ambassadors of Peace now holds weekly music events in Gaza for both boys and girls, helping to alleviate the stress and anxiety of growing up in an occupied territory. We are so grateful to Rahaf and Mahmoud for their continued commitment to bringing the joy of music to the people of Gaza.
