Help Us Buy A Motorcycle For Abaho
Special Dedicated gofundme Campaign
Who is Abaho Gift Conrad and why should we be raising money to get him a motorcycle?
Abaho, born in Rwanda, was a victim of the Hutu/Tutsi genocide in 1994. He is the only surviving member of his immediate family. His mother's foresight to hide him in the garden was the only thing that saved him that day.
Found by a kind woman, whom he would come to regard as his mother, they fled to Uganda where Abaho was raised in refugee camps. He was one of those young people who studied hard to learn as much as he could. Now at age 29, he speaks 7 languages (an important skill when working with refugees from all over Africa) and has degrees in accounting and commerce.
But it is not easy living in Uganda. Uganda by many counts has the largest refugee population in the world. People come from conflicts all over Africa as Uganda is a place known for its safety. There are nearly one and a half million refugees who now call this country their home.
So why buy Abaho a motorcycle?
Because Abaho has dedicated his life to helping his fellow refugees. He has started a non-profit, Human Heart Charity, which works to improve the lives of the underprivileged and he works with Musical Ambassadors of Peace to bring healing music programs to children and refugees. He helps build programs that help with health, safety and education for refugees. In short, he works tirelessly day and night to help his fellow refugees.

But why a motorcycle?
Because transportation in Uganda is very slow to say the least. To get to the different refugee camps can take a whole day even though they are not that far away. Buses are often canceled and private cars are very expensive to rent.
Imagine if you live in Boulder, Colorado and travel the 45 miles to Denver every day to work. How much could you achieve at your job if it took you 12 hours to get there?
Let’s help Abaho become a more efficient bringer of good news, healing and help to these refugee camps. Please give what you can. Your gift will multiply to many others in the hands of Abaho. Thank you for your support!
With Gratitude,

Video from one of Abaho's many projects:
These child soldiers were abducted and held prisoner by the Mai Mai in the Democratic Republic of Congo where they were forced to commit atrocities as part of their training.
Having been freed subsequent to a surrender of weapons by one of the Mai Mai groups, these liberated child soldiers are now entering their adolescent years in the refugee camps in Uganda where Musical Ambassadors of Peace is doing its healing work on their behalf. Only one of these four children has a surviving parent. These interviews were conducted by our Musical Ambassador, Abaho Gift Conrad, in the mutually intelligible Kirundi dialect of the Kinyarwanda language which is spoken in
Rwanda, the North and South Kivu provinces of DR Congo, Burundi and in parts of southern Uganda.
Watch Interviews With Four Children now Freed from having to fight on behalf of their Congolese abductors: Wamahoro Fiye, Numucunzi Evaress, Ngoyi Freddie and Byabatware Frank with an additional two videos featuring more complete versions of their Tribal Dances -- all now on our Youtube channel.
